Here's the tiny graveyard I built outside my house... I didn't get to spend the time on the tombstones that I wanted to,
as I had heard that I would allegedly have some REAL tombstones at the house... but that never happened.
Notice the inscription: "Omnes Vulnerant, Postuma Necat"..."All Wound, the Last Kills"
If only my damn electronic crow has cawed like he was supposed to...
Here's my cemetary fence... I didn't have time to do detailed post tops, and BOY am I glad that I didn't.
I did these tops with monster mud and syrofoam for floral arrangements... I think they turned out great.
Dave Ligon turned my historical marker into a Shaman Fetish! I LOVED it!
He's also responsible for turning this skull into an ashtray for the porch.. heh
Here's my first Monster Mud creation... a grim reaper of sorts that shows people to my back yard.
And in the back yard was The Monstrosity!
Here's my finished "Scary Tree"... I wanted to hang red lights in his eye sockets and have chilled fog come out his mouth,
but you can't win them all. Scary Tree was at the entrance to my Haunt.
After going around a couple of EXTREMELY dark turns, you come to the Black Light Room...
I do this every year. I make sure one room has a large canvas of wall and a really bright black light on it. Then I leave flourescent
paint in the room and let the guests draw all over the walls. Very nifty effect, and the chaotic messages and random blobs of
paint end up looking kinda cool. My other camera takes better black light photos, but this one requires a flash.
After the Black Light Room, you entered the Alien Room.
Everything was covered in silver and the room was illuminated with green light. I had tubes running from the walls
to the ceiling, and the room got a healthy dose of fog. I wanted to run fog into one of these pipes and have it
spewing fog into the room, but once again, the best laid plans....The big silver disk is a baby pool that I turned into a
flying saucer... I was going to put it on the roof with a high powered motion sensor light on it, but once again, heh....
it ended up having a beam of bright light shining out of it on Halloween, however.
I got this corpse from Steve, and the coffin from Donnie.
I had a ball of fading white lights under the bottom lid so that the corpse was lit from beneath and faded in and out.
The room was black otherwise, so if it happend to be faded out when you entered, the fade in on the corpse was VERY creepy.
And with that, you head into the darkness
