Our friends Victor and Lori throw a Halloween Party each year, so we drove to B'ham to join them.
It's a kids' party, so there are all kinds of things to do.
Lori is here setting up the Caramel Apple station...
But there was lots of other stuff to eat... including those truly terrifying pink hot dogs.
The main draw of the party is the refrigerator box haunted house that Victor builds in the basement.
He throws down some carpet padding and builds a crawling maze that is a blast! It feels a lot
bigger on the inside than on the outside, but your knees end up slaughtered after a couple passes through.
Certain things fell me with joy... the individual C7 lights that illuminated hallways out of
pvc pipe were just rube-goldberg enough for me to grin when I saw them.
Harry Potter kept casting spells on me all night. Expeliarmus was his favorite.
They scattered candy all over the yard and had the kids search for it in the dark.
You'd be surprised how easy it is to miss things that are right in front of you.
This kid made it his mission JUST to collect chocolate eyes.
Needless to say there were Jedis and Wizards. Alexandra had to ditch her wig after a while, though.
The fairy even got sick of her wings...
Later it was big kids time... so we had some great dinner and some great wine. These were not those wines.
